JAPANESE STAB BINDING

Japanese stab binding was developed during the Edo period in Japan, although it proliferated as a binding method across much of Asia during this time. This single - sheet binding method is a fantastic one for beginner binders, or those who may have some drawings or other single sheet projects to bind up. This workshop will be hosted by Pulp’s very own Griffen Alexander and Shekinah Ngoy.

An introductory hands-on workshop in basic papermaking with Sara-Aimee Verity and Megan Rumpelt. Learn how to make paper using paper waste, organic matter and pigments. All materials are provided. Participants are welcome to bring anything they’d like to blend into the pulp slurry; flowers, glitter, etc. If we can blend it, it can be pulped!
