Centring Silences: The Elusive Photographic Archive of Mabel Cetu.This is a publication edited by Stefanie Jason with contributions from Zingiwe Cetu, Candice Jansen, Jessica Lynne, Athambile Masola, Dudu Madonsela, Lerato Maduna, Manyatsa Monyamane, Oluremi C. Onabanjo, Julie Nxadi, Neo Ntsoma and Toni Stuart. This publication attempts to trace the life and work of Mabel Cetu, a black female photographer – active during the 1950’s and 1960’s – whose work remains elusive, or otherwise absent from official archives.
